Tubby died 6 Sep 2009.  His last residence in SSI records was in South Holland, Cook County, IL.

During one of my StL visits around the 50^th reunions (ours and my brother’s), I stopped by the tennis courts for a little nostalgia.  I was surprised to see someone giving private tennis lessons at the courts.  That was never allowed by the town in our day.  As they finished their session, I struck up a conversation and we talked about changes.  It turns out that the instructor was Tubby’s brother.  Tubby’s father had been a tennis enthusiast and I had played with him several times back in the day. I remember that Tubby’s dad talked proudly about Tubby’s table tennis ability, but couldn’t interest him in tennis.  Tubby had passed about 5 years before the visit; his father had passed in 2002.  I do not remember the brother’s name.
