Judye Ann Fiddmont Eldridge was born on November 9, 1944 in St. Louis, Missouri to the union of Robert L. Fiddmont and Virginia E. Fiddmont. Her father Robert preceded her in death in 2004. She received her elementary education at Douglass Elementary School in Webster Groves, Missouri. She graduated from Webster Groves High School in 1962. She attended Lincoln University in Jefferson City, Missouri and earned her Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education in 1966. She returned to Lincoln University and received her Masters of Education degree in 1972. She married Michael Eldridge on August 21, 1972. They became the proud parents of a son, Michael Charles. Her career in education spanned 34 years with 32 years of instruction provided to students of the elementary grades in the Webster Groves School District. She thoroughly enjoyed the years spent teaching "her kids," the relationships she formed, her birthday club gang, Bible study groups, and her very dear friends. To her there were no strangers only friends that she had yet to meet. Family and friendships defined her. She leaves to cherish her memory: her loving and devoted husband, Michael Eldridge; her loving son, Michael Charles, her mother Virginia, her sister, Sharon (Pat); aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, a brother-in law, sisters-in law, many dear friends, former students and associates whose lives she touched.
